Construction projects featuring glassfibre reinforced concrete (GRC/GFRC) cladding elements can be complicated. Anything that involves bespoke hand made products, especially when those products are manufactured from a highly complex composite with no specific product application standards, is never going to be easy.
Our Subject Matter Experts (SME) have a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the end to end delivery process obtained through decades of design, manufacturing and testing experience in the world of GRC.
We operate on a global basis without any commercial connections to any manufacturers. This allows us to adopt a truly impartial and independent approach to both procurement and technical compliance.
Project Assessment
We undertake detailed reviews of client specifications and any indicative detailing to ensure optimum project deliverables benefiting all stakeholders.
Where necessary we will propose additional quality control measures which may be beneficial dependent on the particular application. For example GRC being used on high rise constructions requires a far higher level of quality control, and testing than small residential developments.
Equally where unrealistic requirements are detailed we will provide an industry expert opinion as to why alternative compliance requirements may be more suitable. This is particularly important in managing expectations in relation to the finished appearance of the products.
We will also consider any potential value engineering options that may contribute cost savings without compromising quality. We call this “design for manufacture and installation—DFMI”.
Once we’ve fully assessed specific project requirements we will provide a list of at least six suitable manufacturers who we believe can offer the best combination of quality and price.

Factory Production Control Inspections
Unlike many consultants our experience is not purely academic based but has been gained at the forefront of design, manufacture, testing and installation for over 25 years.
We adopt a hands on approach which goes far beyond compliance reviews of quality management systems etc. which are undertaken by either ISO 9001 Certifications or GRCA “Full Member” assessments. Neither addresses practical competency or quality compliant product realisation
All our Factory Production Control inspections are carried out on site. GRC production is not automated but highly reliant on the skills of the shop floor operatives. In order to assess best practice compliance we will assess
competence at all key stage production points including mixing, application of facing coats, spraying and compaction along with finishing and packing methodologies.
Given most factory quality control relies on in-house testing we will also ensure factory testing is carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and using the correct equipment with the appropriate technical competency
Golden Thread Reporting
Every stage of our involvement from advice on specifications to each and every Factory Production Control inspection is fully reported back to our clients.
Our reports are structured in accordance with ISO 9001 principles to identify and non-conformities to both specification and established best practice. We don’t however , as many consultants, stop there. Our vast experience of GRC design, production and testing allows us to share our knowledge in the form of rapid and transformative corrective actions.
If necessary we’ll provide training and/or advice for any additional equipment that may be needed.
Importantly we ensure every identified NCR is fully closed out.
